Well, so far nothing really new. He did gain weight last night, but it wasn’t enough for him to be able to leave.
His team wants to give him another night of feedings and check his weight again in the morning. If no significant weight changes, then the team will make more feeding adjustments. The concern is that his calorie count per feeding is about as high as they’re comfortable with which leaves an option of adding additional feedings or increasing overall volume in the overnights.
His geneticist says she’s “stumped” on his overall issue. Currently he has no known metabolism abnormalities and his breathing concerns have been in-check for about a week. She’s consulting with colleagues from other hospitals.
I’ll admit it’s still frustrating. I’d really like for everyone to be home.
